I have a new disease

Pityriasis Rosea and it fucking sucks. I diagnosed myself with it after two visits to urgent care and no satisfaction. I had it confirmed with a trip to a plastic surgeon.

Basically, it's an itchy as hell rash that has so far only spared my hands, feet and face. I'll probably have it until Sept or later.

If you google it, you'll see some gross pics. It's not as gross as most of the pics, but it's still highly unattractive.

 

You may ask for Triamcinolone Acetonide cream. You have to have a prescription for it.

 

Eww... I stay away from corticosteroids... anything steroid, actually. I had some desoximetasone a while back that I wouldn't take.

Sarna lotion does pretty well and it has a nice old people smell to it.

 

I did learn that primary care doctors don't know very much when it comes to skin conditions.

 

But they won't admit it.

 

Unfortunately, it takes months sometimes to get to see a Dermatologist.

 

Yep. There is only one dermatologist that takes my insurance in my town and they were booked up until almost Sept. I could have got in today 75 miles from here, but I just didn't want to dick with it.

This is why I figured a plastic surgeon was second best. They deal with skin and he's the one that sliced some moles off of me anyway.

 

A friend of mine's ex girlfriend had some weird strain of cirrhiosis(sp?) that spread into her vagina. I thought that was relevant to this thread.

 

Oh, weird. Is that why she's his ex?

 

Nah she busted him cheating on her, she was effin hot too.
