Basically, I've got two older laptops that I don't use, and my chick is nagging me for one... There's a Gateway 700mhz with a shitty LCD, and a Dell 400mhz with a nice LCD. Obviously, the Gateway has more RAM/HDD/etc, but the screen is so much nicer on the Dell. Which one should I get rid of? :?:
If it were me I would look at it from a support perspective. My wife would be comming to me everytime there was a problem. Which one will be easier to support the Dell loaded with win98 or the Gateway loaded with Xp if the Dell has at least 256Mb I'd load xp on it also. It just all depends on what will be easier tyo support.
