I was never a fan of The original Halloween or any of the movies that followed. Myers to me was just a Generic slasher who really didn't have a reason for doing what he was doing.

The original you have him as a child he kills his babysitter for whatever reason next thing you know he is grown wearing a mask running around looking for his sister.

Now with the reboot as I like to call it Zombie has fixed many glaring errors that I have felt Halloween has suffered from. Now most will agree that Halloween 2 is the best of the films of the original bunch and I would agree 100%. See the real problem no one ever decided what Myers was. A guy a super natural being or what. Zombie with this film explains in depth how Myers became to be what he was. By going into his home life leading up too a mass murder instead of one random killing. He pays great detail to what makes a serial/mass killer. Anyone who has read studies on Serial/mass killers will see this from the start and understand what Zombie is doing.

Then the movie just goes from there. It's really a great thriller. I say thriller because it's not really scary it's more of a trip into a deranged persons mind.

Now I have checked what is being released in the threaters via a cam. I must say the workprint is a better version of the movie even thou it used the Dawn of the dead soundtrack as a place holder in places. The one being released has a new ending leaving it open for a sequel and a key rape scene was cut with other minor things.

I give the workprint a 4 out of 5. it's a really gritty thrill ride and if you enjoy things like this then it's something you should download.
