Rating: 9.5 MAJs Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 OK, I don't have a rating system but this is a cool game. In this version of GRAW, you can "see," via a heads-up display (HUD) on your helmet, through the eyes of your team members, spy drones, armored personnel carriers, and other mobile equipment throughout your campaigns. You can also give commands when peering through these eyes. For example, if your team members are removed from you, you can look through their eyes to another location and command them to move to it or attack it. This is all done through the HUD rather than a soul-hopping omniscience that the first Ghost Recon for the PC allowed. Keeping it real. The game begins with an optional training session for anyone who missed out on the original GRAW. The graphics show what the next-gen hype is about. Shading, floating dust, flowing water, and other eye-candy enhance the environment (looks great in hi-def, mos-def.) I haven't cranked the surround-sound yet but it sounds good at a reasonable level. As soon as I have the house to myself, I'm cranking up the woofer (no, phatboy, that's not a euphemism for masturbation--I mean, I'll do that too, but later.) I've only played a few missions so far, but I like what I've seen. I've also had the opportunity to call in an air strike on some bad guys. When you have a rifle going up against an enemy tank, it's good to have the zoomies swoop in to drop a payload on it for you.
you know how ghosts are see-thru... can you see another ghost throu a see-thru ghost.. being as they're all see-thru.... what about a see-thru ghost mob.. would you see just a see-thru mob?.. or would you see each individual see-thru member of the see-thru mob through each other?
Sure, just like your sheerest naughty lingerie. Your hairy crevasse, while taking on a hue of lavender, is still visible through the satin garment.
Anyway, I completed GRAW2 over the weekend at the medium level. I'm not sure if the game is too short or I just obsessed on it longer than I should have (smart money would be on the latter.) It still has online mulitplayer re-play value but I'm glad I rented it instead of throwing $60 at it.
The ghost banter still has me confused - but I like the rating scale. I give you five Pacmans for your creative use of your icon...
