It took over three hours to locate the kids mother last night at 1:00AM. We sent him home with her pending further medical evaluation. She refused to take him with home initially because she was "moving." Sad. If this is really a case of Conversion Disorder, it will be the first one I have seen. Barry
You can be my Doctor anytime Reiz. I think I am suffering from "Middle Aged Boredom" and "Middle Class American Apathy." Do a little googling and call me in a 'script. Barry
Actually, all the diagnosis's you've been handing out could be found with a extensive google search good "doctor". So yes, yes she could.
The problem is you have to know what to search for. For that you need a medical education. You can't just randomly search through all the diseases and such. You could but it might take you the same amount of time it would take to get a medical degree. Also you would be prone to making all kinds of errors as you would only find a small amount of info which would lead you in the wrong directions without the big picture. As the saying goes a little knoweledge is a dangerous thing. Dangerous. Get it.
Good point, I did use the word extensive..also wihtout actually viewing the patient, you would get flawed results, probably about with the same frequency as being DrWebMD.
I beg to differ Danneh boy. If you're resourceful enough, you can learn plenty from a medical book and the internet without ever having to step foot inside a classroom. *flashback* You can train at home for a better career in one of these exciting categories, you can choose from: *flashback* Oh anyway... the best hypochondriac's book in the world is 'The Complete Guide to Symptoms, Illness and Surgery'.
Okay my symptons, low blood sugars, as soon as I eat I piss it out my asshole, I have a sharp pain in my lowerleft back above my buttock and I am having problems pissing... I am also runing a low grade fever 100 or so...
I've met a few with an extensive medical education, believe me, they are not free from error. Your medical education is just that - research and book knowledge - it's not the education that makes the doctor, it's the experience well after clnicals and/or residency. You don't have to do random searches through all the diseases and such anymore, there are many sites where you're likely to be able to research enough to know the general problem just by researching the symptoms. I'm not saying people should diagnose themselves, but by researching they'll be able to better discuss their problems with their doctor, or as it stands, some dude on a forum.... It's awful early in your medical education to be developing a God complex.
Does your poop always smell the same? This could be significant to your diagnosis. You had better get a bm sample to Dr. Dan - stat. I'm sure it will help him to better serve you.
