The democratic party has been calling for this research for years. They never did it, but they've been calling for it. This plan is all well and good as long as the new batteries they develope for hybrids are more disposal friendly than the current generation. The battery in a Toyota Prius contains enough caustic chemicals to turn the average person into a salt pillar, and disposing of the used batteries after they have run their product life cycle is a nightmare.

Have you ever heard of blissful ignorance? Got to ask Barry, I know there's got to be some sort of condition with people who are overly optimistic, place their hopes and believe that something so obviously farfetched and way off will get here now to help them out.

Look at all the damn cars that people use to get to and from their suburbs, how all our just-in-time deliveries of food and supplies are on trucks, etc. Everything about our society is oil-based, so the weening will take a great many years, and implementing this new energy source will also take a long time. Time we don't have, bwahahahahha.

Well you are going to thank the engineers for the suncell/panelpower if you ever have to crawl into your falloutshelter. It is good it is coming. Every drop counts, every creek into the ocean.
