GWB`s legislation for online gambling sounds like a good proposal. A lot of people are victims to their own habits and this will help some retain their homes at least.
As much as I am for protecting people rights to act stupid if they so choose. I agree with the ruling on two basic premises one that the other tax payers pick up the slack when said idiot files his return and deducts gambling losses. Or if the person files bankruptcy. Two there is the issue of unscrupulous use of online gaming practices. What is to stop me from starting a bogus online casino service and simply stealing money from idiots? Basically it works like this you see others online and don’t know who they are. Some guys look like they are winning but really no one ever wins except me? And what is to stop one of these unscrupulous persons from being a supporter of an enemy of the state?
