Well, the defense cant rest when the offense cant sustain a drive. I watched the first half, then just a couple of minutes of the second. It was horrible. He had one good pass, then went right back, into double coverage, and underthrew the receiver. I saw the receiver open in the middle, he had a step on the defender, you got to throw the ball then, plus whats with the 'floaters'? You dont throw a ball 30yards high. That gives the whole defense time to camp out under it. If you cant throw the ball 40yards on a line, you shouldnt be a QB. It would have been 6 instead of an INT if he could throw the ball. And what was that pass down the right sideline? The guy was covered like stink on shit. And then not even to get the ball to the outside shoulder of the reciever? At least make it hard for them to intercept it. LSU didnt impress me much. As a No.2 team they should have had 45 in the first half. Once the MSU d was depressed cause their qb sucks, they finally started moving the ball. Had MSU had an ounce of life left in them LSU wouldnt have scored that many points. When they face a real team we'll see what they are made of.
#24 (I think it was 24), the RB, showed some promise but can't carry the whole game. Flynn did look pretty good as LSU's QB but, I agree, the Bayou Bengals have yet to be tested.
The way flynn was running, it's only a matter of time before he gets lit up or tears an MCL/ACL. Once every now and then to adlib a busted play is one thing, designing plays just to get him outside with the ball is suicide, unless they have a really good backup.

I may have to backpedal on my prediction of Vandy beating Bama. I still think that Vandy will score 30 or more, but Alabama's offense looked pretty capable. Bama's D is headed for greatness.....in 2009. They are just to young and immature right now. Starting a true freshman at linebacker...at ALABAMA...hard to imagine. I am still predicting a Vandy win, but I'm not so positive right now. Bama might outshoot them in the shootout. As far a AWEBURN. Good job digging one out. You looked terrible, but hey, it's a fourth quarter win over a decent team. Bama hasn't done that lately. Good way to start. And both ND and Tennessee lost on the same day. BAWWWAHHHHH!!!!! AU's offense was pretty abyssmal on all but that one TD drive. The young "O" line showed it's inexperience. The "D" played ok considering how often they had to take the field. AU can't sleep through the So FL game, either. Those guys will bring it.

It looks like other than Meeeechigan everyone got through the first week okay. Week two will be a good test for a lot of teams. I think we will have a tough time with Carolina, for some reason we always do, I will be sure to consume plenty of liquids before and during the game.

Alabama will find out if they have a prayer for a 7 win season Saturday. Arkansas RB Mc Fadden will run down hill I'm afraid. Alabama's offense looked OK, but they still can't get TD's. 5 FG attempts is sad. The first TD was only a 1 yard drive, so they really only had one TD drive, and that was late in the game. Auburn looked like they didn't want to win. Thye seemed unmotivated. Georgia looked like this - . It's the Spurier effect.
We played like crap. I dont think it was the Spurrier affect. I think it was dumb ass play calling. I can only get down on them once. It was our game to win and we didnt come through. Even though I dont understand how you have 1-10 from the 12 and dont run the ball one time. When Moreno was cutting through SCs defense for 10yards a carry. Just me though. They should have done a flea-flicker, a hail-mary, an end-around, or even a statue of liberty, but to throw it as much as they did they didnt have a chance. Once Stafford learns 'touch' on his throws, or the receivers realize he is throwing bullets, we will have more completions.... Oh well 5 in a row aint bad, we have to give them one every now and then or they will want to jump to the ACC....... So now I foresee us beating Fl and TN, then losing the tie breaker to carolina cause they beat tn and lose to fl.
There a no bright spots in AU's offense. The defense does what they can considering they almost never come off the field and can't stay off long even then. Brandon Cox is done. He cowers when in pursuit. We need to concede this season and start the freshman QB or at least give our junior QB some snaps this year.
