I would like to turn your attention to the first Saturday in September. The Saban era begins. W Carolina will be slaughtered. It will be worse than ugly. Saban will see to it that the Tide is perfect. There will be much carnage.

The BAMA nation will buy Sugar Bowl tickets after the win. There will be commemorative bumper stickers. There will be talk of the Heisman for BAMA's QB. The defense will lead the nation in YPG for the first week.

The following week, Vanderbilt will beat the Tide.

Count on this my friends. Count on it. Wager now, wager loud, and you can retire a millionaire.

Well, we will see how full of crap you are in a couple of days. LSU losing to MSU is kind of a tough pill to swallow.

Well, an MSU upset of LSU is clearly the wildest pick. It really could happen though. MSU beat the snot out of a decent Alabama team last year, and they have a good crop back. LSU lost a super gifted athlete at quarterback. High expectations and the first game jitters could spell trouble for LSU as the new guy adjusts. Don't be surprised if LSU struggles.

Auburn losing to Vandy is a stretch too, but Vandy is sandwiched between two big games for the Tigers. Sometimes teams get sloppy with Vandy, and get their asses beat. You of all people here can relate, Phat.

Look at Saban at LSU his first year. Destroyed West Carolina, and then laid an egg between Auburn and Tennesse by losing to UAB. Human nature is a repeating bitch. Vandy is a Bama trap in game two, with Bama looking ahead at a murderers row of Arkansas, Georgia and FSU in games 3-5. Vandy has an excellent, experienced offensive line, with a couple of NFL quality players. Alabama has a VERY shallow and inexperienced D, and I fear, alas, KNOW that Vandy will outscore Alabama in T-Town. I see Vandy 31, Bama 27.

Georgia has a good team, but they just find a way every year to screw it up. Vandy can't repeat without a Bulldog Nation meltdown, but oh my, oh my, watch out for a very good Troy team between arch rivals Florida and Auburn in week 10. If Georgia manages to stay clean uptil then, I truly anticipate an embarrassment.

Expect Alabama to get embarrassed by MSU again. They may not actually lose, but I bet they get pushed around and need a miracle to pull it out.

Just to give you a heads up, I am scheduled for a second coming at the Alabama/Tennessee game next year. Once I died they stopped paying me property taxes on Neyland stadium. I still have the deed, and I'm presenting foreclosure papers at half-time. Be there. The look on Fulmers face will be priceless.

We had a lot of good players red shirt last year, almost the entire freshman class. Then we got some juco transfers which should help out the O line some. I think our position players are fine, the line is where I think our main concerns are.

We will learn a good bit this weekend about the players comfort with the system, I dont think there will be any jobs lost this weekend, but there could be some positions that have 'stand outs' that you just dont see in practice.

Looking at the AP poll, Auburn has 4 Top 25 opponents on the schedule and all are road games. Auburn would be lucky to get a December bowl this year.

Bet the line at least on all the games I just predicted as "first loss" and you will be rich. I may not get the actual loss right, but I would bet my halo that the underdog team beats the betting line.

You know your making me want to watch some college football this year.

I just cannot figure out the logic behind your system no doubt your guess is more educated than mine. And thanks for offsetting that Fulmer pic with the Tide fan pic.

I think the auburn fan was the best posted so far. I may be wrong, but I think I would 'root' with this chick any day. Well at least for a little while.

    LSU 45 - MSU 0

    I'm dead. That's my excuse.

    6 INT's.

I just didn't kinow that the MSU QB was secretly playing for Les Miles.

I saw few passes that Henig threw that weren't intercepted or tipped by LSU defenders. I don't know if it was first game jitters or if he is just that horrible a QB. The MSU "D" played ok for a half but can't hang on for 60 minutes. If this continues, I don't think even Jesse or Al could argue with firing Sly Croom.
