    Simple enough.

Apacolypse Now (even the redoux). About as far out there as you could get, one great flick

Full Metal Jacket - Probably my favorite kubrick film, favorite scene.

"How do you know which ones are VC?"

"If they run they are VC, if they dont run, they are well trained VC"

"How can you shoot women and children"

"Easy, you dont lead them as much"

Flight of the Intruder I liked this one, it showed both sides of the propaganda machine and it didnt have a happy fuzzy ending.

****I am sure there are a ton more out there that I am forgetting but its been so long since I seen some of them Id probably have to rewatch them to remember everything.

VIETNAM: Good Morning, Vietnam - good ensemble cast, funnier than "Platoon"

GRENADA: Heartbreak Ridge - Clint, 'nuf said.

DESERT SHIELD: Jarhead - pointless movie, but I counldn't think of another one.

DESERT STORM: In the Army Now - Pauly Shore as a water boy, what could be better?

OIF: my home movies - me with a webcam and a laptop is way entertaining.

I don't like it how all vietnam movies like to portray us there as mass murderers. There was a reason to shoot spuratic children and women. Especially Platoon, Platoon is just shit.

I did like Apocalypse Now though, great acting, even if the story got a bit trippy towards the end.

Full Metal Jacket from beginning to the end of Basic Tng was like one movie and the 2nd half of the movie was like a sequel.

    R. Lee Ermey was the shit as the drill instructor. He did bit for us in Kuwait in 2003 and we actually worked on the same film once in 1993 (that's another story.)

I'm sure Hollywoods peception of the war, and the actual war are a ton different. If the media had been a big a part of WWII as it is OIF I'm sure ther Germans would have been misunderstood geniuses who were actually out to better the world. Vietnam wa an unpopular war from the get go, if nemory serves correct Kennedy didn't want any part of it (being a veteran himself) and LBJ couldn't wait to try out the new stuff. I don't think JFKs body was cold before LBJ got the wheels turning.
