He was a country singer who helped introduce it into the mainstream pop culture in the early 80s. Some of his hits include: Driving my Life Away I Love A Rainy Night Suspicions Step by Step You and I (w/ Crystal Gayle) Unfortunately, his life was cut short in the late 90's. Or fortunately, if you hate that country/pop mix kind of music. Nauseous got to see him live once.
Damn... What year was that? Prolly '89. He came to my town's homecoming. We always get country musicians. Although one year we did get, "The Guess Who". I think that was 1995... I live in a sad little town. Cheeze can vouch for this. I think he may have referred to it as, "depressing".
