ashcroft might too, and he can take them now.
www.aheadcase.com <- used to be a headshop website, was taken as part of the raids.

here is the [link=networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois?STRING=aheadcase.com&SearchType=do newwindow]who is for aheadcase.com[/link] it looks like they've left the registrant info but changed the nameservers somehow:

    Domain servers in listed order:

    NS.PIPEDREAMS.DEA.GOV 208.255.166.218
    NS1.PIPEDREAMS.DEA.GOV 208.255.166.221

maybe they raided the guys house and used his computer to send e-mail to his domain registrars to have the domain info changed?

if that is the case that should be illegal, that's like jailing someone and then sending an FBI agent with a fake id to his lawyer's office to get his will changed or something.

you can get more ifo on this [link=www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/03/05/net.forfeitures.ap/index.html newwindow]here....[/link] Better yet, get your H4x0r buddies to ping 208.255.166.218 or 208.255.166.221 (those are the accuall pipedreams / headhunters servers of the US goverment)

Oh joy, I need nmore inpout from people, I have been invited to go on the air with a LARGE radio station in Raleigh NC to debate and make public what is going on. Only reason I havent accepted yet is I don't want to damage the industry anymore (than the goverment has), what do you people think?

Please, post here or keep your anonymity by emailing me Dwaine@fuglyradio.com

The whole Domain takeover definitely sounds like a Fourth Amendment violation, but I bet that the Feds will argue that "in the interest of the public, it was worth it," as they do with any criminal act they commit. In some cases, the DEA has even seized property completely by mistake, and then refused to hand it back over after saying, "Whoops! Wrong guy!"

As far as the proposition of going on a live radio debate goes, Dwaine, I would say go for it, provided that it is actually LIVE. It they pre-record it, then stay the hell away from it, as it will no doubt be butchered before they broadcast it. Although, the Feds (via some FCC clause) may just pull the plug on the debate if something that defies their agenda gets broadcasted.

The thing that pisses me off is that our government was never intended to grow into the bureaucracy that it is now. The whole point of the Constitution was to keep the government caged, so it wouldn't blow up into this fucking mess of acronyms (DEA, IRS, DMV, FTC, and so on and so forth).
So what does our government do? On a daily basis, they dupe us into acquiescing to their jurisdiction by basically contracting themselves out (1040 Forms, Drivers Licenses...those are binding contracts, people!), and we get legally held to it.

I will repeat that Thomas Jefferson quote: "Never trust a government."

I think I'm going to take off to Gibraltar now.
