If you like death metal or extreme metal I guess, check out The Black Dahlia Murder. They're a metal band out of Detroit. If you're a Kazaa free-loader get "Elder Misanthropy". You will like it.
Not really death metal bands... As I Lay Dying: "Forever"(New Version), and "94 Hours" are quite nice. Shadows Fall: "Stepping Outside the Circle", also nice. Atreyu is sweet, but they tried to buff their songs, and went too far. Older versions of any song on "Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses" are great. Soilworks "As We Speek" and "Rejection Role" make me want to dance. Ill Nino's cover of "Five Minutes Alone" isn't all that accurate, but still is candy to the ear... Black Dahlia Murder is pretty good, musically... The singer sounds too froggish. Okay, I'll stop.

I usually prefer Black Metal over Death Metal, but once in a while I will pull out a Morbid Angel CD (but ONLY the ones with David Vincent).
I know you will all find this hard to believe (as cool as I am) but I got over "Death Metal" when I was about 15. Even though I continued to do drugs for 4 or 5 more years. I respect their music and the niche they fill...but it gives me a fucking headache.

When I finally decided to quit them I threw out 3 or 4 bottles of the crap and a handfull of unfilled scripts. I did use all the Demoral I had. I kick myself now for not making some money off of it, but at the time just wanted it gone.
