Since I loved Twins Peaks so much, I put Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive in my queue.

Anyone seen any of these movies?

I purchased a US DVD release of Lost Highway (sadly, only available in "full screen"), but while I was waiting for it to come in the mail, I read that it's much better to watch it in it's original aspect ratio, so I never bothered to put it in my player.

Maybe now they've got a W/S release of it... Or, a torrent...

Yes, Ive seen them. I was like you last summer, discovered Twin Peaks and I tried out Lynch's other films as well. I only liked Mullohand Drive, Fire Walk With Me, and Lost Highway. The other ones were too confusing for me, not that the ones I did like weren't.

I saw Blue Velvet a long time ago and clips of Mulholland Drive. Both very strange and make me wonder "what's the point?" But the good lesbian scene in Muholland may awaken your girl crush even further.

I understand. That's what I am afraid of. Eraserhead is 30 years old and I don't normally like to watch movies from the 70's.

An example of a 70's movie I tried to like... Network. I couldn't finish it. The only reason I rented it was because I read, "Many aspects of the story share similarity with the real-life on-air suicide of Christine Chubbuck, which took place two years before the film's release."

    It's pretty inventive.

"He cast a brazen bull, made totally of brass, hollow, with a door in the side. The condemned was shut up in the bull and a fire was set under it, heating the metal until it became "yellow hot" and causing the person inside to roast to death. So that 'nothing unseemly might spoil his feasting', Phalaris commanded that the bull be designed in such a way that its smoke rose in spicy clouds of incense. The head of the ox was designed with a complex system of tubes and stops so that the prisoner's screams were converted into sounds like the bellowing of an infuriated bull. It is also said that when the bull was reopened, the scorched bones of the remains shone like jewels and were made into braclets."

I wouldn't mind putting some people in it.

I watched Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive. Both decent movies. Might watch Eraserhead tonight. I started on Inland Empire, but quit watching it. I'll go back to it because Justin Theroux is in it and he's really attractive. The camera angles were making me sick though.

I loved Justin Theroux on Six Feet Under. I was so pissed that Brenda cheated on him.

I love Blue Velvet. All of those movies are watchable at any rate.

I've seen all of Lynch's work. One word: OVERRATED.

... wait... Okay, two words: Over Rated.

Anyway, Blue Velvet, and The Elephant Man were pretty good. Eraserhead and Mullhulland Drive are pretty decent as well. But if you don't want to be confused or sit around pondering the meaning behind the scenes, stay away from Lynch. But if you must watch him, Blue Velvet and The Elephant man at least make sense. Mostly.

Also, the 1984 version of Dune was good.
