Why does the clock on my computer lose about a minute a day? Is there a battery or something? Driving me crazy.
If it's plugged in then that shouldn't matter. Yeah there's usually a battery in it though, you can do a search and where it would be and do it yourself. Or take the ho in to whatever computer place and get them to do it. But then it could be something else... is time speeding up already? Is the quickening here? Energy too great... planet suffering... must stop... before too late!
You said you where running a 700 meg machine with W98 correct? that would place it right around 1998 1999. Yeah they still put Batts on the motherboards. Just get an auto updater barry off the web.
Those "auto updaters" seem to always have spyware attached. Spyware sucks. Do you know of one that works? Barry
There should be a battery on the mobo, you can go to compUSA or Radio Shak and get one. or you can just go to dell and get a new one, let me know if you want to use my dell EPP code, or I could just forward you the emails they send to me on a monthly basis that I send out to our employees
Correct. I have a new computer at the office. I just bought it last month. I hate it. My "old" computer works really well, is very fast, and I am attached to it. The clock is it's only glitch. With Win98, a 3.0 DSL, and a butt load of memory, the thing flies on the internet. I don't have anything else loaded on it but a Word processor and Photoshop. I use selective startup to disable everything but the system and explorer. My new laptop has all the latest software. It takes forever to boot, and it just sucks. I can't figure out how to use a selective startup on XP. I wish I had left it in the box. Barry
