Anyone got this, or played it? I have always liked the PC versions, well at least to Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge.

Is it still the 'build bases' tanks and planes then attack the other players? Overhead view type? I may have to see if I can find something on gametrailers.com.

yes its the C&C Generals engine with a bunch more graphical touches and an increase in pace, it has the GDI/NOD races and a new 3rd alien race called the Scrin (which were touched on in Tiberian Sun)

Each side has had its strengths and weaknesses revamped:
GDI were still the most powerful and direct in miltary tactics, Mammoth tanks sill rule, get 6 Mammoths with the railgun upgrade and you can wipe out a medium AI player no problem.

Nod now not only have a stealth tank, but stealth harvesters & bombers and a stealth 'shroud' that cloaks whole bases., They are much much weaker than the other 2 races, but can cloak pretty much everything, which makes them the 'hit & run' side.

Scrin have a strong base of units, they have a good mix of weapon damage and rapid response, they also have one of the most powerful (if not a bit overpowered) air forces. With giant carrier ships and the slow moving mothership which takes up about a 1/4 of the screen.

The Mech units add a funky new aspect, each side has a new 'mega' unit. The only downfall is when they die, they leave the units 'husk' lying on the battlefield at 50% health, any engineer can take it and bring back to life, so you can take enemy mechs, which is annoying to another player!

GDI, have the juggernaught, a 4 barrelled artillery, it can shoot anywhere on any map, as long as you have a GDI sniper unit 'spotting' ie, looking at an area. So you can leave it sitting in your base and bombard the enemy wherever they are.

NOD Have the Avatar warmech, its quite light on its own, but quite fast and sports a laser. Though it is the only unit in game that can be upgraded, using parts from other NOD units, for example it can take the stealth module from the stealth tank, so it gains that ability. Or the flamethrower from the Flame Tank, or another laser upgrade making 2 attack lasers. You can have 4 upgrades on each warmech.

The Scrin have a freaky War-of-the-worlds looking walking alien beast with 3 heads, each of which can shoot in a 120 degree arc, so that it can shoot in all directions, and sometimes 2 lasers can shoot the same target. Depending if you have the upgrade, these units also have a shield which takes incoming damage for a short while.

Well won't spoil anything else for you, I like it, if only because its C&C and i've been a fan of westwood games since Dune 2. We have network games over hamachi if you ever want to join one sometime let me know.
