I'm going to be getting two-wayed by scopes. They are doing it the same day, so I guess that's cool (?)

This is the worst place in the world to share this information, but I'm gonna anyway before I go run off an join a support group where everyone is nice and sympathetic.

    Anyone had one?

Both ends getting poked at the same time?

It shouldn't be any more traumatic than the last Ménage à Trois you hosted.

What's the problem? Are you anemic and they want to see if you have a GI bleed?

Colonscopy to check for ulcerative colitis or crohns. Blood test to test pancreatic function and test for celiac disease. Endoscopy to check for an ulcer.

I have been losing weight and having upper abdominal pain mainly in the epigastic region and left upper quadrant. I go to the bathroom sometimes up to 6 times a day and always feel like I have to go. Most of the time I just go small amounts, mostly loose stool. I haven't noticed any bleeding, which doesn't mean that there isn't, it could just be microscopic. I haven't had a FOBT (fecal occult blood test).

My only concern is cancerous polyps or a tumor. I'm 30, so I am hoping that I will be on the favorable end of the statisical scale.

I was told that I had IBS 13 years ago and go through this from time to time, but I think it's time to get it totally checked out,

I hope that they drug me with something other than Ativan. I have read that they used that and my body has a tolerance to it.

I have to do the Fleet Phospho Soda 1.5 fl oz. twice a day to shit my guts out. I haven't flushed my system before, but I can imagine that it will be like taking a zelnorm. That one pill had me shit 10 times in two hours until I was shitting what looked like pale pee.

Good luck with the endo. Why are you having this?

Pre- op. when I had my colonoscopy, they gave me Gulytl (sp?) and I pissed oiut my ass 30 times, at the end it was clear water. They gave me vallume first, then veracet (sp?) they couldnt put me under, and it was uncomfterable, but it wasent agonizing or painful.

Fuck Versed. I don't think Dwaine would have had that because he wouldn't remember any discomfort. Versed is sadistic. You feel the pain but you don't remember it.

You are having an operation? Whyfor?

I get to have a VER (Visual Evoked Response) and SER (Somatosensory Evoked Response) two days after these tests.

today they used Versed nd Fentyl, and even with an empty stomach, I puked a few quarts. I have a hiatal hernia I never knew i had, but its not going to interfere with the surgery.

That sucks that you puked, Dwaine. Couldn't they have given you phenergan to prevent that?

    When's your surgery?

I got blood taken today... CMP, Amylase, Lipase and a Celiac Blood Panel. They blew my fucking vein. It looks like a big reddish purple blister and it's sore. Living in a small town with dipshits working in the hospital sucks. I have tiny veins and they insist on using a horse needle. Butterfly needles never cause this.

    I'll have to post pics.
