Is Gravy Biscuit a euphemism along the lines of "glazed doughnut" and "pearl necklace?"

You know, I think you may be on to something.

a southern facial could be called a 'gravy bicuit'

Maybe a "Dirty Sanchez/Pearl Necklace/Facial" kind of thing. Whatever it is, I'll be its nasty.

I meant to type "I'll bet it's nasty" but the Freudian slip is funnier.

Fine, fine, fine. I don't follow recreuiting and spring practice much. Meanwhile, the Tiger basketball team is back to sucking after a few victories over ranked opponents. I guess they have a baseball team but I couldn't care less about baseball at any level. I guess we could turn talk about the upcoming draft. I haven't seen the projections. I don't know if Kenny Irons is a mid-round or a no-select. Auburn's linemen are the best they school is graduating this year.

I've looked at Auburn's 2007 schedule. The non-conference opponents are:

01 SEP: Kansas State - a real team, a good non-con game home opener
    08 SEP: South Florida - they're up-and-coming, getting better as a program
22 SEP: New Mexico State - um, I have no response
03 NOV: Tennessee Tech - what can I say, it's Homecoming

In-conference away games: AT Florida, AT LSU, AT Arkansas, AT Georgia. It's going to be tough for the Tigers to get a bowl bid this year.

Proof that college football is a religion in the South -

More than 92,000 show up for a Spring intrasquad game.

    Crazy as it gets.

I played the college game for a while. I was too slow for prime time. The amount of alcohol and drug use was staggering.

There was only one guy I remember on the whole team that was not an insane party hound. Our team was in B'ham for the opener. We went to a pregame movie, (Animal House), and he sat in the lobby. The rest of us acted like imbeciles. There were several high school girls in the theater, and they all but got molested before it was over.

I actually admired the guy for his moral fortitude, but he was the only footballer I ever knew that didn't drink like a camel at an oasis.
