It was just stated that she has been Detained at the captiol. She was invited and started to bring out a flag or a sign. They detained her for this as it agaist the rules of the Capitol Building.

I'm sorry fugly for saying the next word in here. But BULLSHIT! She has every damn right in the world to protest in anyway she sees fit that is her right as an American.

Freedom in this country is truley dead.

Actually I think the detention of Cindy for being an ass is symbolic and in and of itself a form for speech. So who can fault the White House security for exercising there free right?

Besides I bet they give her sign back and allow her to exercise her freedom as much as she wants as soon as the address is over.

Come to think of it I have a right as an American to address my opinion to the rest of the world. I demand that all major networks stop what they are doing and post there cameras and microphones on me at an opportune time of my choosing. Its hard to beat a State of Union address by a US president…. Hmmm. I'll choose the Superbowl at the beginning of halftime. And I better get my media coverage as this is my right as a citizen or else there will be hell to pay in forums all accross the world wide web!

    LOL :p

She should have stuck to the path she was on, but she's just getting wackier and wackier. She's also losing alot of momentum amongst her supporters, this is evident in the waining number of people that rally to support her. The protests are getting pretty thin, not that i'm complaining, it makes traffic tolerable.

I'm all for freedom of speech, but it should have been saved until after the state of the union. Then she could have dropped a tarp on whoever she wanted.

She knew what the consequences of her actions would be. She took said action anyway. Principle of Civil Disobedience, though that isn't what she's doing. She's just a crazy fuck, and the media does a disservice to the anti-war effort by constantly showing this crazy bitch. She marginalizes people who have legitimate points about the war effort. Taking Cindy Sheehan as the face of the anti-war movement is like using Tom Delay as the face of the Republican Party, they're both members of their respective organizations, but they don't represent their groups interests as a whole.
