Mouth ulsers, I get them rather frequently and sometimes up to 4 at a time. They are rather large, and painfully sensitive. I checked all the sites, they say "Oh just eat well" which doesn't seem to help since I had them even when I was on a diet. Anyone know any treatments besides burning the shit out of them with Listerine?
Bonjela will sooth the pain and sensitivity, but don't use it if you're allergic to Aspirin. I don't know if it's available in USA, or if it's marketed under a different brand name. Some natural assistance is to eat non-acid foods, plenty of red and yellow vegetables and non-citrus fruits. If you're getting repeated attacks, it could be due to stress, lack of sleep, not enough fresh air, lack of exercise, or a Vitamin B and C deficiency. Be careful not to brush your teeth too vigorously and rise your mouth with warm, salty water after you brush at night time. If Bonjela is unavailable, you could use a solution of 50% oil of cloves and 50% tea tree oil and dab it directly on the sores. If you're unable to get tea tree oil, you could substitute it with another antiseptic. My boyfriend suffers from terrible mouth ulcers too.
Canker sore my ass. You have mouth herpes. Surprise, surprise Reizoles boyfriend has an extra heaping helping of herpes.

Canker sores aren't herpes. Canker sores are mouth ulcers. You get them inside your mouth and they aren't contagious. Cold sores are herpes. You get those on the outside and they are contagious. I've had canker sores. They suck. The best thing to do is to leave them alone and they will go away. Anbesol will help numb it. But don't keep burning them with Listerine! Sodium lauryl sulfate can actually cause them. If you keep getting them, go see your doctor. Helicobacter pylori, the same stuff that causes stomach ulcers can cause them. H. pylori is bad shit but is treatable. I think to test for it, you just blow in a bag or something.
dang, pukey once again and drops the knowledge on everyone, Im glad she did, there is this hot chick at work that has them on the outside, glad I didnt let her hook me up....
Yeah, yucky herpes (cold sores, fever blisters) will always be on the outside. When inside, it'd only be on your gums or the roof of your mouth. Not the soft tissue, like the inner lips. People can try to make it sound benign by calling it "Cold sore" and "fever blister" but Dan is right... It's herpes.
