Yeah so this morning I got to play with Tech Support. I know what you are thinking, Both of them where American and spoke perfect English. They where just stupid.

The first was Creative Labs, Which usually has pretty decent tech support. I had a problem with one of the Channels on my new Soundcard and had to send it in for it to be replaced. That part went smooth. The problem is turn around is suppose to be 10 days, it has been close too 20 with no word from them as to why, no updates on the website or anything on what was going on. So I called there Long distance Tech support line this morning and waited for a human for over 20 mins. Going to love seeing that call on the phone bill. So I get the guy and go thru the whole spew he has to do. I give him my RMA number, and ask him what is going on with my card. He then asks me to hold. 10 mins later he comes back to tell me that they do not have any of that model in stock and that they will be getting some later on that week. Which I found odd as they are the company that make the card and they have none in stock. I asked him why I had not be contacted to be told this info weeks ago. To this he wanted to put me on hold again. I just told him to forget it and he promised that it would be sent out by Friday. I love promises and all but we all know it won't be its me we are talking about here. I have to jump threw 7 or 8 flaming hoops and dodge poison darts to get the most simple things done. So I doubt I'm done playing with them. I do not know why simple things always end up so fucked up for me its always been that way. I always follow the rules dot the I's Cross the Ts. Yet it is always a fight or there is always some mishap.

Kind of like my Xbox and the year of hell it took to get a working unit from there warranty service. I went back and fourth with them with 10 units, Finally they sent me a brand new fresh unit. It latest all of 3 months and that's when I told Microsoft to take a flying fucking leap.

The other Tech support I called today was Madcatz, Little to my knowledge when I picked up a new GameShark yesterday that Madcatz was making them now. If I had known I would have never bothered. The only reason I wanted it was for RE4 as I already beat it on the GC. I did not feel like doing everything over on the PS2 just to play thru the Ada Wong portion of the game. Anyway I could not get the thing to connect to the net. I went threw set everything up by hand did everything I could think of. So it also used USB Flash Mem cards. So I moved the files I needed over with that and well the code list did not update. So I call them. First off I got a voice mail saying that the tech support was not at his desk.

Well I called back later and got the guy, That's right one guy does Tech support for Madcatz. He is a surfer I could tell. Lots of dudes and right ons. Nothing wrong with that or anything. But I just one of those anal people who feel you should be at work at least professional on the phone at work. Anyway I told him I had 2 problems. He of course wanted to guess and said bad login. I said bingo. So he goes into a spew about going directly to my modem which is like the standard for all tech support people and connection problems. So I said ok I can do that. How do I set up the software to use PPPoE. I Shit you not, He said what is that. So I knew then you could not. I got some ideas on how to get it too work and I will try those when I get home. Anyway I moved along to the flashdrive question as a manual is well not even around even though they say there is a .PDF at there site. I asked him how I update the list that I had moved the file from the Flash to the Mem card. Yet nothing is updated. His answer in exact words. Yeah you know dude I have no idea on that one I have never messed with any of that. WOW just wow.

Anyway that was pretty much my morning. I was also late for work as I had the garbage truck parked right in front of my drive way and no one was to be found it was strange.

Where are your posts about positive experiences man? Always with the negative. If I got off on people bitching about every little thing I'd call my wife and ask her what's going on at work.

See man thats the thing, I hardly ever have a positive experience with stuff like this. I'm like that 1% who has the most off the wall thing happen. Always my family think I'm cursed. Because I try to be nice as I can as I know that helps speed things along it just always backfires.

I hear ya. Waaaay back when I hated everything less, telemarketers would call, and having had family have the same shitty job, I'd try to be nice about turning 'em down. Only problem is that they interpet that as the sign you're fair game.
