So what part of Californias budget woes can be tied directly to the welfare of illegal immigrants? Seems there is a correlation there somewhere. If you pay out for all these programs to help people that dont pay into the state tax base you are going to run out sooner or later. Why dont the celebrities help out?
Won't happen. It's sad because it is so obvious what the problem is but so long as the "Split the baby" party can make political hay out of and exploit the issue for power the problem will never be addressed.
I love living in California, its just the politics I hate. Right now, I live in the bay area and its like ground zero for ultra liberals and I was a pretty levelheaded moderate, but living here looks like its going to turn me into a solid conservative. Not the crazy fundie types, but right of center indeed.
I think getting a firsthand look at failed liberal policy could make any person on the fence want to lean conservative. It would be nice if it was actually brought up in the mainstream media. 'Hey look what these programs did for California, we should take them nation wide so we can all be facing the same crap they are' I wish they would pass the flat tax, or consumption tax, however you want to look at it.
