I went to a festival on the weekend and saw this band (among others). Four guys walked out with trumpets, a trombone and an oboe and proceeded to play something akin to 'When the Saints go Marching In'. WTF? I'd payed good money for this. The next minute the guitarist breaks into some of the filthiest crunchy leads I have heard in a home band for ages. The rest of the band kicked in and went off like a frog in a sock. It was a sort of Jazz meets Lincoln Pk but it worked and worked well. Has anyone else heard any brass-metal? If so what'd ya think?
That is called Ska or punk ska. Coulda been any band,Voodoo Glow Skulls,Suicide Machines,The Urge. Any of them sound familiar?
