I watched "Be Kind Rewind" last night on PPV. Bottom Line Up Front: I wish I had spent the $4.99 on beer and re-watched "Shallow Hal." I knew once Leonard Maltin came on to say that this was not a zany movie about two guys shooting their own versions of movies that it may not be what I expected. When he called it a "feel good" movie that he actually liked, I knew that disappointment was of high probability. Still, I had already been charged the money, so I watched. I have to say that I didn't expect much so I wasn't let down too much. I was way more pissed when I shelled out $20 for "Good Luck Chuck" but that's for another thread. Think of a cross between "Clerks" and "Barbershop" with the funny scenes taken out.
I will always love Clerks. "The swelling's not so bad but the FDS stings." That's one of my all-time favorite movie quotes.
