How big is it? How much did it coast you? How much is the upkeep? How fast can it go? How far out to sea can you go without risking running in to trouble? What kind of permits do you have to have? How much does it cost to dock it?

 

Can you haul it around attached to the back of a truck?

 

How much coffee did you have this morning?

I don't have a boat right now. I sold one recently, because I heard the end of the world was coming and I knew that I would not need it.

The last boat I had was a 28 ft Sport-Craft with a single vee drive Cummins diesel. It cost about $300 a month to dock it. Off road Diesel fuel that used to be 49 cents a gallon is now $3.00. The boat got about one mile to the gallon. You do the math on a 200 mile offshore trip and you will see why I don't have it anymore.

If you are thinking of buying a boat - don't. They depreciate quickly, are expense to upkeep, and will kill you if you don't know what you are doing.
