I struck a vehicle this morning and the other driver was ejected from his car as he was apparently not wearing a seatbelt. Blame will be later assessed by a judge, I assume, but I feel horrible about the other driver. He was rushed to the hospital and listed in critical condition. I don't know anything else yet. Bottom Line: I had a seatbelt on and he did not. I've written this PSA before but please, buckle up. We'd both be better off right now if he had.
Ahh, I am so sorry! Are you alright physically? I know mentally you are not. Very few people would be. I have been in wrecks, but luckily nothing as serious as that (knock on wood). I would be a mess.
you know I have had a feeling all day that today I will be in a wreck...I am about to head out to go to a meeting 68 miles away... its raining.. I forget my seat belt a lot.. but today I will not. I am so sorry you and the other driver are going thru this.
My neighbor died when she 15 in a wreck. She would have been okay if she had been wearing a seatbelt. Then I knew another lady who didn't wear hers because she was afraid of being trapped in the car and it catching on fire. She died in an accident as well. I will take my chances of being trapped and wear mine.
I hope all turns out well for both of you. I hope he does not find someone to sue with deep pockets because in the end we all pay for his mistake if he does.
