People rushed to buy homes...a long term financing project and bet on the short term. Thereby taking on enormous risk for the Hope of profit. When it didn't work out they didn't want to take the risk anymore...hence the blame game. Pick a boom and bust and you will see the same scenario. People think they can make lots of money in a short period of time and forget about the risks. Go protest, ask for free handouts or take it upon yourself. Can't find a job start your own company...figure it out for your damn self and quit being such a Pu$$Y

The banks were forced to make bad loans ala- CRA. The sales arm of the mortgage business who did not give two shits about the company was all for making bad loans at the end of the day it meant more money for them. The banks tried to hedge against their inevitable losses by using ARM mortgages. Everyone knew it was crazy but figured if shit hits the fan they had an excuse and it was not their fault. Make filing Chapter 13 easy and with little penalty and step back and watch what happens. Chapter 13 filings will skyrocket from people who acted like they hit the jackpot and run their credit way up before filing. The Human element sucks and money is the root of all evil.
