I do have to admit that blaming a failing dollar on a puny blog is weak. But there seems to be people who take notice in such stories. Remember in the Bush era when the Dixie Chicks said that the war was wrong blahblah? Well the administration slammed them by saying that "criticizing the efforts of the president in a public forum, undermines the army's efforts and emboldens the terrorists". The answer is there if you care to look. Not that America's healthcare is not top notch its the best in the world still. But it was better when the government kept their hands off of it. The more government intervention the worse it gets.

True enough, my position is uncomprimising. Help the needy and the poor, regulate the banking system to avoid another financial crisis, and more funding to social programs and hospitals to keep them open. These are talking points indeed, but this all we can do; talk.
