If you allow others to use you as a doormat, not only are you in danger of developing blood sugar problems associated with it, but you are allowing them to develop bad karma, which isn't very compassionate in the long run. So in stopping someone from stepping on you, you are actually doing what is best for them, as well as having respect for yourselves. It might not be the easiest thing to do, however. Many of us lack self respect. It is deeply ingrained on the cellular level from many sources. TV is continually giving us images to live up to. We aren't good enough if we don't look a certain way, act a certain way, smell a certain way, etc. TV is full of judgments for the sake of money. And we grow up with this. We can no longer accept ourselves as we are, and therefore can not accept others as they are. Where is compassion now? Lack of self respect is actually an uptight second chakra syndrome that needs transmuting. Self respect is not something we can just automatically get or possess by thinking about it. First we have to explore the feelings of worthlessness and inferiority and wear them out. This does not mean to wallow in the emotion and be self indulgent, but to honestly face up to what we are feeling. Self honesty is the hardest thing along the spiritual path. And it seems to be getting harder what with all the judgments coming at you from others if you even show anything less than perfection. Even the Lightworkers are judging each other! Why do we continue to expect perfection from others? It is very damaging to them, and tends to perpetuate their feelings of worthlessness. Expectation is an uptight, heart chakra syndrome that leads to anger, grief and sorrow when not fulfilled. We have no right to expect anything from anyone else, no matter what! This is really hard to live with, and gets really tricky. After all, we resent it when others expect things of us. Expectation and judgment seem to go hand in hand. If so-and-so isn't like we 'judge' they ought to be, and is therefore less than perfect, then we can feel we are better than them, or so we 'judge.' Where is the compassion of accepting others in spite of their imperfections, and giving them unconditional love? What does Unconditional Love really mean, anyway??? Look at people who are judgemental, and see how the sex chakra and pelvic area is uptight. It is an education! The angry person will have an uptight chest area. Notice how when you get angry the chest constricts. Accepting things as they are, is a transmuted throat chakra number. If we can't accept things as they are, then we are always trying to manipulate the situation, and other people. We manipulate how they think about us or feel about us. This relates to possessiveness, hanging on and grasping - whether it is to ideas, concepts, people or whatever. We feel an inner poverty and want to supplement it with something outside ourselves. It is your basic uptight throat chakra syndrome, and it is just more emotions to recognize and wear out, not bury under the carpet or take out on someone. The pure raw emotions have to be experienced without continually pinning them on someone else or something else. The clinging-vine type has the typical, uptight throat chakra. The sex chakra is the absolute worst to get over and transmute. It is truly horrendous to just sit with feelings of worthlessness, inadaquecy, and inferiority and let them wear out. Paranoia and worry about what others think is part of it. Only when you can not care what others think about you, can you begin to be free. This does not mean to ignore what they think and sweep it under the carpet, but to honestly not care. This is the hardest of all. When you no longer judge others, you cease judging yourself. Judgments relate to polarity: good and evil - should and shouldn't. There is a fine line between judging and self indulgence. For instance: If I eat a lot of chocolate cake every day, am I bad? Is what it does to the body "bad?' It depends on your intrinsic values. How do you want your body? Does it matter if you die of diabetes if you continue to indulge in sugar if you have diabetes? What does your intuition tell you? That is what is meant by self indulgence. There is a difference between discernment and judgment. Discernment is real. Judgment is a concept, and as such relates to an uptight sex chakra number. Recently I read that, "judgment is seeking to impose your truth on another." Even though Jesus said, "Judge not lest you be judged," the Christians seem to do a lot of it. Even Lightworkers are guilty of judging each other. Going on a "holier-than-thou" trip is judging oneself as better than someone else, and is therefore an uptight sex chakra number. Only with an open and cleaned out Solar Plexus, can we see that all is equal. A fifth grader is no better than a first grader - he just has more knowledge. In terms of all time being one, how can anything be better than anything else. The Buddhists believe that one cannot become enlightened as long as one feels he is any better than even a worm. All is equal. All is God. Real power comes from this realization. Pride is an emotion that pertains to the solar plexus, and also the 3rd eye. It also gets stuck in the collar bones. Ignoring is a head chakra number. Those who ignore things tend towards sloth, torpor, laziness and stagnation. Each person has their "speciality" in terms of negative emotions and uptight chakras. If we were perfect, we would not need to be here. Stagnant emotions that have been swept under the carpet tend to fester and cause all sorts of problems, including major illnesses. The positive aspects of the various chakras cannot be attained until the negative ones are transmuted.
