Looking for a good all-around piece that isn't too flashy, to take on trips, etc...

Not looking to spend a fortune, but will gladly spend more for a quality product.

    Suggestions?

(I'm betting Dwayne will jump right in on this one...) :D

Mine is a good piece and at $300 bucks a damn good deal. The S&W .40 cal sigma. 14-round clip, so if you don't get them with the first one you still got 13 more to go. It's got a plastic handle, though, which can crack if you mistreat it. Just be careful and you won't have any problems. Easy cleaning, easy to fix a jam.

Sigma is manufacuted anymore. S&W lost a lawsuit to Glock...

In my opinion, Para-ordnace makes a p-12, its a .45 Cal with a 12 round magazine... steel frame so little recoul, and fits in your pocket..

Yeah I forgot about that lawsuit. That sucks because the piece was a very sweet, much much cheaper Glock alternative. I read about it when I was doing a search for it.

A lightweight revolver like this one. Go for a different grip though that will not drag on the inside of your pocket. 38 Spcl ammo is cheap compared to other alternatives and its got smooth action you will have a good time practicing with those other recommendations are to big, heavy, or clunky for comfortable concealed carry. Get a concealed carry permit and a shoulder harness. You will love it. If thats not flashy enough and you don't mind spending the money then go for the Pearl handled Titanium model. Remember if its not comfortable to carry and conceal. You won't and you won't have it when you actually need it.

If what you really want is a pistol semi-auto with capacity still relatively lightweight and fairly comfortable then how about this. Remember the advertised weights are unloaded and this model will be heaver than the revolver when fully loaded. If you just want a nice gun to keep in the car, cabin, and hotel room for travel and care nothing about concealed carry then go for a large, heavy frame pistol or revolver.

True a gun for the house big and heavy is good, as well as pretty damn intimidating and thats good also.

You could've done that with 12M HCl and one pump... what's your point?

Cool thing about the super soaker is it works with other chemicals than water also.

For example, urine works just fine in them. Dwaine found that out the hard way last summer.

    eew!

And just to think I was considering a really strong nerve agent based bug killer. or some type of acid if it happens to be compatible with the plastic parts.

If you see someone coming at you with a super soaker and also wearing rubber gloves and a mop suit. Take my advise and run.

The idea of a supersoaker filled with insecticide spraying me makes me queasy. A horrible way to go.
