This has been a really off year for me so far. Every time I have something good happen I get like 2 bad things right after. For example 2 Sundays ago My bestfriend, wife & I went to see Hot Fuzz and shop out of town. We had a great day. I get home and I have a fucking flat tire. The next day I run it up to Wal-Mart they say it will take 3 hours to fix. So I say fuck it and take it to Sears. They say an hour. Well come back an hour later and well someone left the lid off the tire cement and now I waited 4 cause they already have my tire apart. The same day I was in the shower, and I was shaving well all the sudden I hear a loud explosion (which turned out to be my Neighbors compressor on his A/C Unit) I slice my freaking lip to ribbons from being startled in mid shave. It's just been shit like that. Replaced a water heater and then my Sinus Infection that I let go for so long my Doctor thought I had a stroke. It's been annoying. My wife has had great luck this year got her promotion and raise on top of that. So good on her I guess lol. The meet went fine but it was lackluster at best.
Thanks Man I feel better. I wonder how many read that and don't start laughing by the time the lip shreading part comes up.
I'm glad someone got a laugh............ I'm hoping writing about it might make it better. My fav so far was the night I was alone and I made a big heaping plate of spaghetti and meatballs. I was about to sit down and eat and my doorbell rang so I put my plate up on the counter because of my dogs. Well it was some church Nazi I could not get rid of. I come back in and my dogs used the chair I used to change the light bulb earlier to get on the counter and ate my dinner........
So you cut your, lip, had to wait on a flat tire, and you had a sinus infection, and well.... your year sucks? Go spend a week in a Community Mental Health office, and you will get a new perspective on what "life sucks" means. How about this local tidbit to get you started - http://www.fox10tv.com/global/story.asp?s=6228301&ClientType=Printable
As always Barry you are jumping way over the gun. I've just saying that my year has sucked more then normal. I just been having odd things happen to me everytime I turn around.
And I was just putting it in perspective. Life is how you see it, and how you decide to react. I find humor in flat tires these days. Not much mind you, but some. That makes life OK.
So your definition of persepctive is insisting he view his life through your profession? How is that like your life Barry?
Plus going to see my doc & him rushing me over to the ER cause I had all the signs of a stroke was a little nerve racking to say the least.
No, only that he view life through the eyes of somebody that may have things much worse than him. My world is my only frame of reference. If you have an example, feel free to use it.
What kind of signs did you have? If you had all the signs of a stroke and they went away that could mean you had a TIA (transient ischemic attack) which could put you at a high risk for a stroke in the near future. I would think you would be a little young to be in the high risk category but I don't know your past medical history or what your cholesterol levels have been or whether you are a diabetic.
No I had a chronic Sinus infection which leaked around my head and was putting pressure on my brain. I was numb and my right eye was drooping that's why he thought it might be a stroke. The catscan showed I had this big crown of infection around my head.
