I bought a Simpledrive 750 GB external harddrive, 480 Mbps Data Rate Transfer, 7200 rpm in November, for only $70 at bestbuy after tax. I dont know how I found a good deal for it brand new and all, but yeah this is a good deal too. I think or my next purchase Ill end up getting a a 1 TB server(if the price is right), since Im always like in 3 different cities each week and its a hassle lugging my harddrive around.
Did you see that 300.00 dual quad IBM server I posted a while back? At the time I priced one on the IBM site for 3k+ and it had I believe 4 gig of ram a rather small hdd but that could be fixed. The find the link and check out the guys e-bay store. Thats his thing he re-sells servers and such. The one I posted still had factory warranty for almost a year.
same harddrive Joe posted is $189 now. Ill be buying this one though, since I have like $70 in Best Buy credit. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8692382&type=product&id=1198286608806
I picked up a Hitachi 500GB, 7200RPM, external at Best Buy back in March for $95... They also had WD notebook drives, 120GB, both SATA and EIDE, on clearance for $55, so I picked up a few, too. Sometimes BB's put shit on clearance, and it's usually not advertised in the fliers...
