I'm no authority on environmental matters but it seems enough damage has been done already. If the chemical is floating and is flammable. Would it not make since to burn it off? Surely there is a reason not to do this or it would have been done already. I understand there could be risk involved with other flammables near the river but steps could be taken and I would think it would dissipate rather quickly? Just an idea I’m sure its flawed in some way or it would have been tried. Could it be more than benzene?
