Anyone know how to keep ticks off of dogs, without the expensive front-line? I got some ordered, but it won't be here for a week or two... Any suggestions?
I know a guy that jetwashed his dog cos it had fleas,i wouldn't advise it though the daft cunt got arrested.
The active ingredient in the Hartz brand 'flea and tick' should dissuade any potential parasites... I've found that you should use more than the suggested 'dose' to keep the little fucking parasitic bastards away, and make sure to spread it around their backs instead of pouring it all on their shoulderblades like the instructions say....
Oh yeah, and if you dig the ticks out yourself, make sure you pull the heads out, too... Most times you pull a tick off the goddamn head detaches and stays there to agitate the skin even more - just make sure you get thhat fucker off of the dog and you should be OK...
Don't pour more than the recommened dose on a dog's back! They can reach around and lick it and get sick. Just limit their outdoor activity until you get the good shit.
