Hell of a score today, folks... My very own Japanese, pre-arcade, mechanical pinball/slot machine... 'bout damn time...
Yeah - mix slot machines with pinball, and you've got Pachinko. You use little balls as your 'tokens' - and the object is to win a shitload of 'em. The balls can be traded in at the 'gift shop' for 'prizes' (since it's illegal to gamble in Japan), but you can take these 'prizes' outside the establishment and trade them for Yen. I'm sure they recycle the prizes you trade in right back to the gift shop... I've never actually played one, and I won't be able to until I get some balls...
Then you take your Yen, jump on a train, and go to shijuku machi. Then you spend your money getting a "happy ending" at the snack bar! Muahahahahahahaha!
Actually Lomo, the one I played used pennies(of course, this was back in the 70's...when you could still BUY shit for a penny.)...I scored real big when I hit that bitch for over $2. I bought a stack of comic books 3 inches high(roughly 10 of them)...
Not yet, but if I run across any as I find time to actually work on this thing, you'll be the first to know...
