yeah, he beat predator with a spear. some spoiled rich punk beat up a warrior raised since birth to kill and hunt, and he beat him in close combat with a spear. that's about the same as an rotc cadet beating up a veteran spetsnaz with a fork. like i said, REACHING.
docta doom stole the beyonder's powers (and made the molecule man one tough cookie) but the beyonder got them back in the end. but, in all honesty, i never liked batman anyways. yeah, he's dark, smart and has grappling hooks, but does that really put him on an equal footing with actual super powered individuals? whenever he goes up against em, he somehow finds or invents some device that he couldn't normally and which he ultimately looses at the end. in the batman vs. spawn, he got these crazy hand gadgets that went on his hands to make him equal to the spawn in strengh. it just seems to me, that the writers really have to reach, a lot, to put this flatscan on an equal footing.
Have you always been this bitter and cold? It wasn't just a spear, it was a preditor made spear. AND! Bruce didn't grow up fucking the whores, he trained and trained and trained. But, yeah, the writers do have to reach sometimes. When in doubt, "Kill" the main character, or his side-kick. No one cares until the muzzle of a gun is pressed flush against the temple. Then, after the trigger is pulled, people don't want it to be true, so they'll believe whatever contrived plot you throw at them. Sure, sure, Bruce's back was broken...but it healed! Just like 3% of all broken spine injuries!
