what is it that makes us cry at the loss (death) of a friend.? why do attatchments cause such unrest when disturbed. i have slept very little this past week. normally i laugh at people dying and whatnot but somehow my friends funeral struck a chord. i have stopped functioning. what can i do to snap out of this.?

    Remember this:

Funerals have been turned into a depressing event. You are there to remember the person who died, and honor their memory. But don't be depressing about it, celebrate their life and how it touched yours. Remember the fun you had with that person, drink a toast to his/her individuality.
I've already decided to not have your typical funeral. I want a party...I want people drinking, smoking, and raising hell at my "funeral". And I want to be there dammit...sitting in a chair in the corner, with a beer in my hand. So that everyone can, in turn, walk by, clink bottles with me, and thank me for all the good times we shared. Fuck that depressing shit.

    Try...........

Take the things that you admired in your friend and make them part of yourself.

That kind of keeps the person alive in someway.

    (worked for me)

Just cry. I still do. Nothing to be ashamed of, and very healing.
