yes, there are different flames to get different effects, plus ways to layer gold and silver, you can also take a piece of NS rust, fume it silver, incase it in clear, and you have an awesome purple stringer. you can also fume silver, then dots of coblat, on inside out work to get a kick ass green that dosen't check. for the most part, you want to fume silver in a bushy low oxygen hot flame, remember, silver will ignighte sometimes, do be careful. And gold, you want to use 22k or 24 k (perferably 22k, it sticks better to the glass) and use a heavy oxy colder flame. If you fume just gold on clear glass, you get a cranberry color (like corning cookware). Also if you fume aardvark white gold, it will make a cool purple/violet/pinkish (sort of like black light) color... pull into stringers, and depending on the amount of gold fumeing, you will get a Grimmice purple, or a bubblegum pink.
