By Michelle Malkin • September 3, 2009 01:15 PM When the story broke last night about a health care town hall scuffle in Thousand Oaks, Calif., that left one person without a part of his finger, it wasn’t clear who bit whom. MoveOn activists were involved and their accounts colored much of the early coverage. It now appears that the biter was an Obamacare supporter and the victim was an Obamacare foe. Thankfully, doctors were able to reattach the severed digit. No need to imagine the horrified fulminations from the White House to the New York Times to MSNBC if it had been the other way around. Ed Morrissey looks at the mayhem and the possible charges that both the biter and the bitee (who reportedly threw a punch) might face. Finger Bitten Off In Scuffle at Health Care Rally A 65-year-old man had his finger bitten off at a rally for health care reform near Los Angeles Wednesday night. Originally believed to be demostrating with a group of MoveOn-sponsored health care reform, advocates, William Rice now says he was not part of the rally, and did not go to advocate for his political views. According to one bystander who was demonstrating across the street with a small group of anti-reform protestors, the reform supporter, Rice had aggressively threatened her friends who were "peaceful people holding up candles and signs." He landed a heavy blow to the face of one protester, who responded by chomping off Rice's pinky. But reports conflict, and the identity of the biter remains unknown. Rice says the man yelled at him and called him an "idiot" before the altercation deteriorated into blows. It remains unclear why Rice was at an event he was not participating in, or how he came to be arguing with the counter-protesters, who were some distance away.

Because there is a deficit and the Republicans will not agree to tax/spend more money because Republicans do not care for old people and the weak. The point is that the media at first tried to make it out to be a crazy health care reform protester. Then when they could not do that just avoided the story doing damage control for the MoveOn crowd. If you see any story were people involved in some political movement behave badly being an embarrassment to their movement they are involved in and there is no mention of what side they are on or the story makes it confusing to discern you can be certain they are left wingers.
