I'm not talking about dirty pillows.

I am looking for a good pillow. I have the worst time with them. I have bought all kinds and my neck still bothers me. I think it might be because I don't move much when I sleep and my neck stiffens, but I dunno. I've used the contour pillows. One was too flat and other was too thick and it smelled like kerosene. Right now I am using a regular pillow, flat contour combo but it's too thick. Sometimes I wake up below the pillow, like my neck hurt so much in my sleep that I moved away from it.

Anyway, what do you guys use? Just whatever or do you have a good pillow that works. I don't care about the cost if my neck would quit bothering me. Of course, if you have healthy necks it probably doesn't matter

I have similar issues with pillows. I am not a fan of 'goose down' because the feathers just feel funny, and it seems like they seperate wherever your head is. My current pillow is a firm(ish) but thin pillow. Its not anymore than 2 inches thick. But I still wake up with my head off of the pillow too, like Im more comfortable at times without it.

I am no help whatsoever on this one, I have the same problem, I don't believe there is such a thing as a "good pillow" out there. Let me know if you find out.

Are you a side sleeper too? I always feel like I am crushing my shoulder blades into my neck. I wonder if one of those contour pillow between the legs work? I bought my husband one and he likes it, but I haven't tried it because he doesn't follow my 'OCD code' about bedding, so I won't let it in my bed and he gets mad and says that I treat him like a dirty piece of shit.

It ain't easy being crazy.

Sucks when I sleep. I must move more than like 15 times each night during sleep. I have a thin pillow, I hate think ones, ah, I hate sleeping it seems like a waste of time, except for the feeling refreshed part.

When I got my new bed ( I forgot the what mattress store...but can tell you tomorrow) I fell in love with the pillows they had. ... just ran to look at the name of the pillow... Rejuvenite. I got 2 at 40$ a piece. I have never paid over 10$ in the past for a pillow, but these were so great - it was worth it. However a few weeks ago, I had taken the cover off of them to wash... forgot and came home late, and decided to just go to sleep without the cover on it, or a pillow case... and the baby woke up - took off his diaper, and shit on one... so now I only have one... I went back to the store to buy a new one... and the clerk said they were over 100$ a piece without the purchase of a bed ... FUCKERS... so I still have only one. Who in hell pays $100 for a pillow? I felt retarded for paying $40

I no longer have it but I had a pillow made of buckwheat shells or something of the sort and liked it cause it conformed to the shape of your head and neck. Thick pillows make me hold my head at an angle. Thin pillows is what I like except I double them over where its thick at the neck and thinner at the head if that makes any sense. I sleep on my side mostly unless I'm really tired and fall asleep on my back which is rare and then I don't use a pillow.

I'd like to see a pillow made like a beanbag.

I'd pay 40, actually that's what I paid for the kerosene smelling pillow, but 100 bucks for something that is made from 'talalay latex' (whatever the hell that is) I dunno. They don't see them around here.

I did find a Simmons made with that same stuff for 30 bucks on Amazon with really good reviews. Maybe I will try that. They say it's better than Memory Foam which is what that kerosene pillow is.

This is the stinky pillow I bought DO NOT buy one. I have washed the zippy cover a million times. It's the actual foam that stinks and that 'ivory colored' zippy case makes it look dirty. I can't believe it got decent reviews and no one is talking about the stench of the pillow. It's too thick and hard.

I think I've felt those before. They are too weird for me.

Fugly has become a place for a serious talk about pillows.

You are all old and boring. I fit right in now.

Damn - never thought I'd contribute to a thread about pillows here, buuuut...

    I've got a few.

I like to switch them around, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason behind which pillow I use (except the occasional "this is the only mofo within reach" ultimatum.)

Among the favorites are this unknown brand of 'memory foam' (one piece) pillow, and a couple Calvin Klein pillows (one with real down feathers, and not a single 'spine' to be felt throughout the whole damn thing - and the second one, which is some 'artificial down' filling.) Never thought I'd buy a $200 pillow, but fuck. Both feel great, kind of like plopping your head down on a balloon-shaped bag of marshmallow creme.

And, no - I didn't spend that much on a single fucking bag full of feathers - but I did spend more on either of those pieces than it cost to dress up an entire bed.
