I think dan and all his alter egos ruined my rep. There was some pretty good comments on it, made me laugh a lot.
It's beneficial to set attainable goals... I didn't realize 'upgrading' to Windows Vista was considered a 'goal' though...
I bitch about Vista everyday. I should have taken it off when I got the computer, but I keep putting it off.
Here's my philosophy - for the end user: If your computer performs satisfactory while tending to whatever you deem it necessary for it to do, it isn't outdated. If all you want to do is play pong or solitaire on it, or use it to print up fancy greeting cards that were fresh and novel a decade ago - then your computer will never grow old. Those are extreme examples, but illustrate my point perfectly. Same logic underlies my lack of a PS3. Nothing exclusive on the system has ever motivated me enough to spend the money to upgrade. Plus, it's a fucking Sony. Damn thing will crap out within a year if I happen to force it to work a few times a month.
I'm in the same boat as you with the PS3. Unless they bust out God of War 3 I seriously doubt I'll ever get one. Now that I think about it I don't even know anyone who has a ps3 but like 10 who have Xbow 360s.
Shit - I now own my second 360 - only because I wanted an HDMI port for my first 1080P TV, and my first system didn't have one (but worked well with the 1080i). Now, I'm torn between the HDMI-enabled system running the old frontend, and my online 360 with the shitty 'wii version' frontend forcefully installed. And, somewhere between the two systems, I can't even find my fucking Halo3 case. :frown:
