Dateline 18 Mar 2009, 3:30 CST: During Congress' live AIG Bonus hearings on Fox News, Anchor Sheppard Smith just called out specifically by name Senators Chris Dodd and Barney Frank as the two people responsible for the nationwide banking financial meltdown. And boy, was he pissed OFF! Smith accused the two of fiscal and financial irresponsibility, saying that those two alone were to blame for this serious financial crisis. Smith cited lax oversight, and by REMOVING, behind closed doors in last last months Spendulus Bill, language that would have prevented paying AIG bonuses. The two conspired to remove the language, and INSISTED that the bonuses be paid as political payback, Smith re-iterated. "And now, how could THEY sit up there and act righteous and indignant", he stated? Smith also stated that the grilling of AIG exec Mr. Liddy, was just a dog and pony show, to distract the American people. Radio personality Rush Limbaugh stated the same thing on today's show. Smith was LIVID that Barney Frank was calling publicly for the names of the executives that were paid the bonuses. Mr Liddy, who came in 6 months ago to try and save the company and who is working for only $1 a year, refused to release the names of those receiving bonuses to Mr. Frank, citing confidentially and their safety. Barney Franks then went on a screaming tirade, saying he would suponea those names, over and over, and that he would hold Mr. Liddy in contempt of Congress. Sheppard Smith then stated that this reeks of McCarthyism, who tried to call out publicly members of the Communist Party during the 1950's. Sheppard Smith is pissed, and rightfully so. We, the American people, need to join him, and call for the heads of these two. Along with Maxine Waters, who stated before Congress, that Franklin Raines and Chris Cox were doing just fine at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Those two received over $109 million dollars in bonuses themselves by artificially setting false quotas in the Community Redevelopment Act guidelines. And now we find out that Ms. Waters, using her Congressional influence, directed over $100 million dollars of Federal money to a bank that her husband sat on the board of. Definitely a conflict of interest there. It is time, people. Time for US ALL to get pissed off and do something about it. Flood the offices, phones, and e-mails, and insist to EVERY ONE of your elected representatives that these morons, along with former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, be removed from power, and be held criminally negligible. Time to IMPEACH them! And now there is a groundswell movement to have US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner removed from office for incompetence! President Obama just stated that he has full confidence in his entire economic team. Rep. Connie Mack of Florida has sent a letter to the President calling for Mr. Geithners' resignation. Sheppard Smith is PISSED, and so am I!! Only YOU and I can stop this madness! You can FEEL it. The groundswell is begining to RUMBLE. We've HAD ENOUGH! THIS is the tipping point!
