RIP pretty lady ok so yeah it is sad whenever anyone dies, but sheesh some people are making her out to be some sort of god. I mean yeah she was hot back in her day... but that was about it. People are throwing memorial parties, clubs doing Betty night, and cry babies blogging their feelings about her death. When a 16 year old is crying and feeling suicidal over a woman she never met, thats just crazy. HELLO she was a pinup model - a million years ago. I might be wrong but I cant remember her doing anything other then that. She did not cure a disease, help those in need, or anything great - that I know of. Am I the only one that feels this way? I mean - what the big deal? Did I miss something?

I didn't think people were making a big deal about it. All I saw was a small article in the newspaper about it and hadn't hurt anything since.
here people are acting like Elvis died or something... Even my dad said something about it- not that he was a fan, he just knew I had the haircut at one time. I have one friend having a big party Friday night in her honor - While I was at a "cool" store this weekend, 2 clubs already had color postcards advertising a "Bettie" night. Like 5-6 people on my friends list on Myspace did bulletins with captions like "OH NO Bettie Died" or similar. Was she from GA or something? WTH funny redneck racist dad's quote.... "she was a hot piece of ass... but a god dammed niggah lover" I did not know that she dug the dark meat, or hell it might not be true, but I wonder where he got the idea. - probably the same news source that told him you supposed to drink Slim Fast WITH every meal- to loose weight.
Guess she was born in TN... maybe that's what the facination is with her in the south? I always hated those bangs. No offense.
none taken, I got board one day, with a pair of scissors. It also covered up a huge zit that I had picked to death till it looked like a volcano. I never had acne problems, but a big one will pop up once a year... then I torture and punish it. Till it looks gross

You have also take into consideration ...when I am typing shit here...I am also on the phone, sometimes holding a baby (that like to type as well) or a cat is walking across the key board, eating, whatever. I am never sitting at a computer all alone with no interruptions .... IF I was free and all alone - this would not be the site I would looking at
Yeah, she was one of those people that I thought was already dead too. You know, I was bored one day and went to the imdb and looked up the cast of Bewitched. Everyone (and I mean everyone) but the little girl on that show is dead, but most of Leave it to Beaver is still alive. Weird.
For some reason, while reading this thread, I thought everyone was talking about Estelle Getty... I think that was her name... From the "Golden Girls" or something...
