I have had to do CPR on pt's several times but have never actually seen anyone come back to life. Well today was the first.....My pt was dead as a doornail,no response, no pulse, no respirations......After I did a few sets of chest compressions, to my amazement the old son of a bitch came back to life and asked for something to eat...I love the medical field...What an adrenaline rush!

PT Cruiser .. its a car made by Chevy

I have brought 2 dogs back to life... and 2 cats. oh and a bunch of puppies from emergency C sections . The Vet my husband I worked for would say "that one is long gone- why are you wasting time & drugs?" then boom- The little things would come to life. One time that vet said "if you can bring ONE of those to life- I will give all the money from this surgery- and I brought back 2 out of 4. My husband has seen me do it many times, and swears I am a witch with powers. Now when he is at work and I am at home and he gets a ER C-section... he makes me come up there.

That is cool you brought back a human.. I could never work in the human field... I dont like them very much.

Pt Cruisers are made by Chrysler. ;)

I would feel happier in my heart to bring back an animal. I was thinking today how I would like to go back to school and go into veterinary medicine but for wild animals and work at a refuge. I would like to save deer that have been injured by motor vehicles that could be saved and not shot. I saw a state trooper last year pull out his rifle one day and I sat at the end of the road watching him thinking that some cool criminal action was happening and much to my dismay, he walked to the side of the road and before I got get the fuck out of the area, I saw him shoot a deer. It fucked up my head and I have wanted to drive a little ambulance around and save wild animals that have been hit by vehicles but can be saved. I wish I was rich and smart because I totally would.

Deer always die...even if it had minor injuries, and was put in an ambulance and taken to a vet... It would die from shock and stress. My sister took a young deer that had small back leg injury to a vet one time... It was fine hopping along, but once they started working on it... putting a bandage and splint on... it started freaking out and died. I have shot 2 deer in my life, and used euthanasia on one. I would never want to work with wild animals ... I hate it when we get wild cats. I do like wild baby animals ... but adults suck.

That's bad ass!! Did he see the tunnel of light and all that crap? Near death experiences fascinate me.

The only tunnel it sounds like he was looking at ended in his stomach...

A pt is a patient, and it was badass! The old man had no recollection of anything happening to him. The only thing he was worried about was the hamburger his daughter had bought for him. Soggy and cold once he got to it, he ate it all with a semi toothless smile on his face.
