As a young girl I had always heard of a tombstone that reads killed by human wolves. The cemetery was supposably haunted by monks. And the Jesus statues cried blood. Naturally this scared the shit out of me as a youngn, and I would never step foot in the place. Well I fianlly visited this place, which was creepy I guess because it was so old and the horror stories were still in my head... Anyway I found the tombstone and sure enough there it was.... "> I ended up finding out the "Human Wolf" was a doctor who preformed an illegal botched abortion and killed the girl.. Can be found on find a grave, in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. For anyone who is interested in things like that..
When I looked at the dates that had me thinking something was being covered up. 18-19 year old, with that on the tombstone. We have one here, havent been in it, but I know there are soldiers who died in the Revolutionary war in it. And some from before. I think the oldest local tombstone I have seen (personaly) was 1756. Of course there are so many small 'family' cemetaries it is hard to know where they all are.
We have some property with really old graves. The latest burial was in the early 1900's. Always kinda wanted to dig one up, but probably wouldn't see anything. It's also illegal and it's bad karma and not worth it, but I can't help but wonder what would be left. I have a family cemetery way out in the middle of nowhere on my dad's side. I thought about being buried out there. You would have to have 4WD to get there and I think it would be nice to be hard to get to.
Um... Am I the only one here that thinks the "wolves" part was added on later? Seriously--Look at it. Seems more like an afterthought by a rumor-starting individual skilled with a chisel.
They use sandblasting to make tombstones, I would imagine that the font makes it look like it was an afterthought, or added later. But then again, I have seen some strange tombstones in my time. Not that I am like stalking graveyards or nothing.
Heres the story on it, and I do believe the "murdered by human wolves" was on the tombstone from the get go. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=7423442
Oh, that's right... I forgot. If he just turned 15, this would have to be his grandfather's work, right?
