Just curious. I feel like it is a social nicety, but not necessary unless you never plan on going back to bed.
I do sometimes, but usually before I get in it. I like the sheets tight around my feet, I cant stand the death roll your sheets can put on you sometimes. So I like the sheets nice and neat before I gets between them. As far as making it up, like with the pillows all covered and stuff no.
If I am a guest in someone's house: yes. At home, my wife rises after I do so she makes the bed. Otherwise, I'd go until time to wash the sheets (6 months-ish) before I made it.
You are kidding about the 6 mos thing, I hope. I change mine every few days and even then, I don't formally make the bed. I mean, I pull the sheets and the comforter up but I don't go all crazy trying to make it look neat. No one sees it, so who cares? I'm only picky about the rooms people would see being neat.
I also make no movement when sleeping, so I never mess up anything. I wake up with everything asleep except my brain. I can wake up with two legs and one arm asleep sometimes. I can tuck the sheets once and not have to tuck them again.
Schmed makes his bed everyday, mainly because he wets it every night. Damn golden showers. Its amazing the bills he has accumulated paying asian hookers to urinate on him. You think he'd invest in Rubber sheets.
