It's like a little fucking handbook - not more than three inches squared, 96 pages long...

Who the fuck still has these things, anyway?*

(*besides people that sift through donations at a local non-profit thrift shop, and keep the really obscure shit that comes through)

Of course, it came in the same box as the following "take-home size" booklet:

If anything would bring Ulfur back to the forums, I'd think it'd be this topic...

I fully expect Nursey to comment when she gets back from Spain, too... Specifically, the second picture...

Lomo, what's the most valuable thing you have ever seen donated? Exclude things like cash or a one time thing like a car or something like that. I'm talking about something odd that the person who donated it obviously had no clue to its actual value. Most likely something collectible. Let's make this a two part question, most valuable single item and most valuable collection (like dinner ware or a complete run of something, comics, baseball cards etc.)

I worked at a thrift store for many years in Madison Wisconsin, the most valuable single item I ever found there was most likely a copy of Samhains album Initium on white veined vinyl which I got for a quarter, it books at anywhere between $250.00 to $900.00 depending on condition. I held onto it for years, I ended up selling my copy for $350.00 a few years ago.

Recently in Alexandria VA at a small thrift store across the street from a bar I used to work at I found a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #17, it was in a pile of old superman comics, I nearly shit myself. I brought it to the counter with all the other superman comics and asked how much for the pile, the old guy behind the counter said .25 cents each, I felt like I was robbing the place. I brought it down to a comic book store that is a few blocks away, the owner said it was worth about $400.00 in its condition. I of course kept it and added it to my collection.

Those are my tow biggest finds at any rate. Anyone else get something amazing from a thrift store???

    Sweet fucking christ.

You're going to have to give me a few days to compile a list...

I'm typing on one of 'em, for starters...
