Anyone ever get one? What did it look like?

I have something that might be one but I'm not sure.

And before anyone says anything, it's not crabs. It's on my arm. It doesn't hurt much and it doesn't itch. I thought it was a zit, but how often do you get a zit on your arm and it has a red border around it.

I don't feel well on top of it and I'm freaking out that I have MRSA or something.

You probably just got bit by a SARS fly. Or a sand flea. Either way you should be okay. Oh and apparently hygiene (Yea, I know I spell worse than dan).....could prevent all of this.

Well, I got the MRSA idea because I spent 5 hours at the ER last week. I took a shower and washed my clothes as soon as I came home and I didn't rub up on anything, but I did use the toilet... not bare ass or anything, but I wonder if it could creep up through 6 sheets of 2 ply tp? I didn't have my arm on the toilet, so I'm kinda thinking it's not MSRA, but the fucking internet has to be bittersweet in it's supply of information and it kept coming up.

I got the spider idea because I just started driving my old car this week and it was sitting for several months and I thought maybe some spiders moved in.

Anyway, it doesn't seem to be getting worse and it just feels like a bruise pain-wise, so maybe it was a spider of some sort. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with spider bites.

Obviously I get freaked out more easily than most people. I think I have what they call catastrophic thinking. It sucks.

I've had two nasty spider bites...I have scars from both of them. The one on my thigh is the most recent, about a year old and it still looks like a deep bruise.

    Was it a brown recluse?

At first I thought it was a zit and I squeezed it and some clear stuff came out and then a few hours later, it had a red circle around it, about the size of a half dollar. It's just sore, it's not horrific pain or anything. I also started to get sick last night like the stomach flu sick and don't know if it is related or not.

I have no idea what kind it was, both happened in my sleep. But it wasn't a brown recluse, their bites are devastating. Literally eating away your flesh.

Heres a link to a recluse victim, careful its a bit graphic.

Were you trying to get 'spidey' powers? My son told me a few years back, "Wouldnt it be cool if I got bit by a spider and got super powers?"

I think you and him have a lot in common.

Yeah, they are pretty terrible. I've known of two people around here that had them and it took a chunk of their flesh out.

Some people though don't react that badly.

I have a lot of wolf spiders around my house, mostly in the garage. And considering that I won't kill them, maybe I got bitten by a little baby? I dunno.

Post a picture of it. It's funny how whenever people get a cellulitis or something they start thinking a spider bit them. If it's red and hot and spreading then you probably have a cellulitis. It might be better to go get some oral antibiotics from your primary care doc then wait around and have to be hospitalized for a few days if it's really looking like a cellulitis. Also MRSA comes from your skin not you stool and you get it just by having some break in the skin. Staph is a skin bacteria also can be in the nasal passages. Even if it's staph doesn't mean it's MRSA although it's possible.

It doesn't hurt at all now, it never itched and hasn't spread. It appears to be getting better. It's totally flat now and kinda looks like a popped zit.

Now I got this little bump on my forehead that doesn't itch or hurt and I put toothpaste on it which kinda pissed it off, so I put hydrocortizone cream on it and I'm going to keep an eye on it.

I've had dermographism for 13 years, so my skin is super fragile to everything so bumps and hives are normal and usually fade in an hour or so. Anything that doesn't, freaks me out.

I think I am allergic to everything and I'm afraid to get tested for allergies because of how my skin reacts to stuff. I mean, you guys can scratch your face and not worry about it. If I scratch my face, I get what look like big knife scars where I've scratched.

It has come in handy when I needed to write down a number and didn't have anything to write with. I just use my fingernail and it looks something like this:

Get checked out for Lyme disease. Tell your doc about that red ring too. That is some nasty stuff and can really mess you up.

I found black (or brown) widows all over my house. Literally in every corner of every window outside, there was a pregnant black-widow this past fall.

I trapped one in a jar and all of her babies hatched and ate her.

Living in the woods sucks, just in case any of you are considering it.

No spider has enough poison to be lethal, the worst is the brown recluse, which can't even kill you unless it bites certain parts.

Snakes are different, far more racist.
