By 'rape' he meant she hit him with a stick till he was unconcious, then she undressed him and poured honey on him while he lay on an ant bed.

I agree it's illegal and should be illegal but sticking the guy in jail for thirty years is way out of proportion to what actually happened. Ten to Thirty days in the county jail is plenty assuming this is his first offense. It cost taxpayers 60,000 dollars a year to keep someone in jail. That's 1.8 million for 30 years. Just remember that you are working extra hours without getting anything back every day to keep some clown like this guy in jail so you can feel self righteous and shake your little fist.

Where the hell did you get 30 years? The WORST he could get is six... and most likely it'll be 30 days in prison and 10 years of probation.

And whether you agree with the severity of the sentencing, blaming the girls for his pervy actions is just stupid.

I'm not shaking my fist, nor do I feel self-righteous. I do think he should pay for what he did. Thirty years in prison is really harsh considering that convicted murderers and rapists get less time than that. He'll probably not serve much time.

I don't like paying for criminals to live, so don't get me started. I think they should let some of those people out and kill the rest of them. A rapist or a cold-blooded murderer should never walk the streets again. I say cold-blooded because I do think that some people are just in their killing. BUT, that's a really gray area, so I should just shut up now.

Due to the convolutions of the appeals system, it's cheaper to keep them than to kill them.

But we should let all the drug offenders go. I mean, jesus, why the hell should we pay through the nose (to our for-profit prison industry, no less) for some pothead to be in jail?

That's what I was going to say. Why should some hippie who sold some acid at a Dead show 20 years ago still be in prison?

I think prison just hardens most people and they come out even more fucked up.

Except Charles Manson. I think he enjoys prison.

I'd have to agree with that. Even the Manson part.

I heard that John Wayne Gacy was a really model prisoner, too.
