I just miss Friday the 13th the Series. I loved that show when I was a kid. Satellite is actually a bigger ripoff than cable though when you compare what you get.
I know everyone hated Johnny who replaced Ryan, but I had the hots for him. Demonoid has it but it was going to take over a week to download it.
So I get Direct TV tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. I got fed up with the cable company although I did keep the internet.
I prefer DirectTV to any cable, Comcast sucks, I get more channels for a cheaper price. Internet is the only thing I like about Comcast, but once the contract expires in the summer, Im cancelling.
I kept the cable internet because they don't do dryloop dsl around here and I don't want a phone line.
The motherfuckers didn't show up for their 4 hour install frame. No call, no nothing. At least the cable company gives you a two hour window and shows up. Looks like I may end up going back to cable. Fuck this.
DirecTV is installed by independent companies frequently. You may have a slacker. I've had fits getting them to show sometimes, too.
Regarding those 'cards' that go with the satellite boxes... Are people still able to use those to receive broadcasts?
My friend has something that he uses and has a receiver at his house, while the actual dish is somewhere else. Maybe that is what you are talking about? I don't know how that stuff works. But I do know that I will never do satellite programming. I'll just stick to cable. Fuck Direct TV and their no showing subcontracted installers.
It's highly unprofessional and goes to show you that they care less about their customers than the cable company does.
Get rid of it and spend your money on something else — save for a holiday, or something. I got rid of mine (not the actual, physical HD monitor — that cost me a small fortune, and I need it for my PS3) and am a-whole-fucking-lot happier without it. I don't miss any of it. And, as I changed to HD before I got rid of it, I cant even get terrestrial TV anymore.
